1. To grow the recreational and competitive aspects of Sea Rowing as an all year round sport. It is great fun, keeps you fit and Plymouth Sound is a world class Watersports venue.
2. Continue to develop the Eddystone Challenge into a high profile, international event. We have proved that we can organise it in all weather conditions, and plan to have classes for every possible type of man powered boat.
3. As our membership has increased we have secured funding to buy lightweight quads for youngsters. Our objective is to continue to grow a substantial junior section during 2009 as well as increasing both active and family membership
4. Undertake ARA coaching courses and increase our number of qualified coaches.
5. Achieve ARA Club Mark status.
6. Ensure that child protection/vulnerable adult clearances are held by all coaches.
7. Provide a focus for youngsters growing up in the deprived areas of Plymouth and its surrounding area to gain access to physical education, team work and competition.
8. Where possible and in accordance with ARA rules we will provide recreational rowing facilities for local children with learning and mild physical disabilities.
