Our Objectives are :-

To grow the recreational and sporting aspects of Sea Rowing. It is great fun, and Plymouth
is an ideal place for it.
Develop the Eddystone Challenge further into a major international event, with a high profile.
 We have proved that we  can organise it in all weather conditions, and plan to have classes
for every possible type of man powered boat. As membership increases seek funding to
buy lightweight boats that are required for youngsters, who should not use sweep oars.
Grow the number of active members and family memberships.
Undertake ARA coaching courses - To increase our number of qualified coaches and achieve
ARA Club Mark status.
Use sea type boats for training throughout the year, and in most conditions. The stability of these boats makes them great for novices and for all ages.
Provide a focus for youngsters growing up in a deprived part of the country to gain access to physical education, team work and competition.
Obtain child protection clearance for all coaches.
